Poem: Bound Together by Books

DSCN5921
*Note: First appeared on Quail Bell Magazine December 12th, 2015.
My mother read to me
In the car, restaurants,

Anywhere.

When I got older, my friends
Thought I had read
Every possible book

In the school library.
I was more adventurous
Than people ever thought.

I rescued lost girls, ate chocolate
Frogs on trains, swam
Across aqua skies.

If you need me,
I am
Still spellbound.
